This pretty little aster, which gets to 30cm x 30cm features single soft pink flowers over dense clumps of lance like green leaves. The flowers fade to more of a lilac as they age, and it makes a really useful plant for the front of a mixed border in late summer. Flowers from late July through to late September, if deadheaded. Cut dead stems back to the ground in winter and this plant will burst back into life in spring. Prefers a sunny position in a moist but well drained soil.
