Commonly known as Baby's Breath, Gypsophila paniculata is a mound-forming perennial with narrow glaucous green leaves and clouds of small open trumpet-shaped white flowers. Max Height 1.2m. Max Spread 1.2m. Flowers July to August. Full sun. Hardy in even severe winters, provided the soil is well drained. Prefers an alkaline or neutral soil. Cut back after flowering to promote a second flush of flowers. Tidy in the late spring just as new shootrs are forming. Water thoroughly before planting.
