A stunning golden form of the Smoke Bush, Cotinus Golden Spirit has fabulous golden foliage which turn coral, orange and red in the autumn. Plumes of green flowers appear in the summer and the leaves turn translucent with more sunshine. Planted in full sun in well drained soil and this plant can ultimately reach 5m x 5m. If desired, however, the plant can be pruned annually to keep compact, in which case the leaves will be larger.
