A very pretty, bushy, clump forming perennial with slender, willowy stems and narrow leaves. Produces star-shaped white flowers fading to pink over a long season. Useful and airy in the border, Gaura lindheimeri is happy in most soils except very wet, in full sun. Where it is happy can grow 0.5 metres high by 0.5 to 1 metre wide, and is attractive to pollinators. Protect crowns with a deep mulch over winter, but considered hardy in most areas of the UK.
