Astilbe 'Anita Pfeiffer'

Astilbe 'Anita Pfeiffer' is a tall middle of the season variety of this wonderful plant.  Getting up to 75cm tall and wide it's airy but vibrant pink plumes help create drama and movement in a garden.  Very much prefers a moist, rich soil, it is ideal for a pond or stream side location, but equally happy in a mixed bed, in either sun or partial shade.  The deep green divided foliage is rather fern like and the plumes emerge over the top in July and August.
