Syringa pekinensis 'China Snow' is a stunning variety of white lilac tree. Impressive plumes of perfumed tiny white flowers in spring rise above green heart shaped leaves in summer, which turn gold and bronze tones in autumn, enhanced in winter by cinnamon coloured peeling bark on mature stems, which creates additional winter interest. Will thrive in full sun or partial shade in any reasonably well drained and reasonably fertile soil. Height and spread after 10 years c 4 metres. Requires very little after care, save pruning out dead or unwanted growth. Awarded a prestigious Award of Garden Merit by the RHS.
