Hoya is a lovely vine like and trailing houseplant with thick and waxy leaves which are green and yellow, tinged pink on new leaves, with pink undersides. The leaves help it retain water, so allow the compost to dry out completely each time before watering, preferably with collected rainwater, or alternatively tap water which has been allowed to stand for an hour or two before use. Likes a brightly lit spot but away from direct sunlight. Hoya camosa Tricolor can grow over a metre in length and sometimes, given ideal conditions may even produce small pinky white ball shaped blooms.
