An unusual houseplant from Guineas and South East Asia, Agloanema ae often referred to as Chinese Evergreens. Prized for their large colourful leaves, in mottled shades of green yellow and pink, these plants will grow in most types of light in the house, although they will colour up best in a bright spot away from direct sunlight. Water from the bottom only when the top third of the compost in the pot is dry, and feed sparingly in the summer months on a once a month basis. Prefers a humid situation, but will tolerate less , and watering should be reduced in the winter.
