The upright, slender, purple stems of this gorgeous variety of Meadow Rue support masses of rich mauve button like flowers with yellow eyes from mid summer on through autumn. It can grow as tall as 1200cm, and can flop a little if not supported, but it is best grown among other plants anyway, so pair it with something more robust that it can grow up through, as it is a bit of a 'frail beauty'. Best in partial shade in a rich and moist soil.
