Also known as Angel's Fishing Rod or Wandflower Dierama pulcherrimum is a clump-forming perennial with grass-like leaves. Graceful arching stems of delicate, bell-shaped deep pink, occasionally purple-red or white flowers. Max Height 1m to 1.5m. Max Spread 60cm. Flowers July to August. Needs full sun in a sheltered, moist but well drained position. Fascinating to see their nodding flowers on even the stillest of days, they combine extremely well with other ornamental grasses or arching from the back of a mixed border.
