Adds drama to the late summer border. Lobelia Queen Victoria has glorious deep red/purple foliage which looks great throughout the summer, but simply sensational in July through to September when topped by tall spires of scarlet red spikes of flowers. Can be planted in any moist and decent soil, and is also quite happy as a bog garden plant, or used as a marginal at the edge of a pond. 60 to 90 cm high in time, the flowers are very long lasting, even when used as cut flowers. A late season star for a sunny or partailly shaded spot.
