'Gentle Hermione' features flowers which are perfectly formed shallow cups of pure light pink, paling to soft blush on the outer petals, and a strong myrrh fragrance. An attractive shrub with red tinged leaves early in the year, which later turn green, and can make a slightly arching shrub of c125cm high by 140cm wide. Good for a mixed border and for cutting as well as gracing wilder areas. Attracts bees and introduced by the breeder in 2005.
English shrub roses require less pruning and maintenance than many traditional roses, having a naturally shrubby growth, which just needs older and wek stems cutting out or reducing once a year.
