This shrubby salvia features bi pinnate small aromatic mid green leaves with terminal racemes of bi colour purple and white flowers throughout summer and autumn. The flowers can vary colour according to the amount of heat experienced from solid purple, through white with purple 'lips' through to all white, and the foliage is strongly scented of blackcurrant Attractive to pollinators, this plant will brighten any garden anywhere, when planted in decent well drained soil in full sun or light shade. As with all salvias will appreciate a bit of extra protection in particularly wet or cold winters, but is hardy in most normal winters, and whilst the plant will die back into the ground spring will see it burst back afresh. Grows to an eventual height and spread of circa 1m x 0.75m
