Fine Curled Cress is a dual purpose type. It can be sown in containers lined with tissue for moisture retention on a window sill and cut when about 4cm tall. Or alternatively, you can broadcast the seeds in a small patch in the garden and cut the whole leaves for a spring sowing for cutting after about 4 weeks.
WHEN TO SOW
All year round
WHERE TO SOW
Can be sown in compost in small punnets, on soaked tissue paper, on a saucer or broadcast in small blocks in the garden.
WHAT TO DO NEXT
Keep the growing medium wet at all times. Window sill sowings should be thinned every day, snap the seedlings near the base as required.
7-10 days after sowing
If sowing with mustard for the traditional 'Mustard and Cress' sow 2-3 days before the faster growing Mustard.
A good source of vitamin C & B.
